Oct 27th my painting: We had gone to see an exhibit of Giacometti at the Foundation Maeght in St. Paul de Vence… the exhibit was wonderful. Our assignment was to do a portrait in the style of Giacometti — not very successful as far as resembling Giacometti’s work!!!

This is my good friend Lise’s painting… Hers is even less Giacometti-esque but I loved it! It does belong in the Museum of Modern Art if you ask me but then not many curators would take my advice.

The project for the class of November 17th was to draw hands… below is my effort. I can see my mistakes –make that thumb bigger! It was a challenging assignment. Obviously, I need practice

Here is another class assignment – to paint a triptych or altar piece (retable) Mine is a la Klee…not finished but….. I hope you have figured out my style…..
