Picture one was taken recently at Kathy’s home in Schenectady. We are so happy for Eric to be joining such a lovely family. This is the Certosa di Pavia, a Chartreuse monastery, with construction begining in 1396 by Visconti de Milan. Much the construction took place during the 15th and 16th century. The richly decorated but unfinished facade is impressive – Lombardian architecutre, interior is a sober gothic. We went to the one star Michelin restaurant Locanda Vecchia Pavia, about 150 meters from the monastery.
