Chris Cozen,  an artist friend of mine with whom I have exhibited, just published a book called Acrylic Solutions.  (available on Amazon)  Chris does fabulous mixed media works using color, textures, and layers… lots of transparencies.  I have always wanted to try her methods and this book has inspired me.  I have started with gesso and texture and have color and other collage. Below you can follow the work as it progresses from stage to stage.

Voila quelques photos de la visite de nos collègues lorsqu’elles sont venues a New York.  Elles et leurs époux ont bien profité des musées, des promenades et d’une visite a Chelsea guidée par Cathrina. Nous étions tous bien d’accord que ce que nous faisons au Studio de Daniel Bard est beaucoup mieux que ce que nous avons vu a Chelsea!  Voila quelques photos:

Un autre jour, Chantal, Jean-Pierre et moi sont allés a Brooklyn pour faire des esquisses du skyline de downtown Manhattan et puis de traverser a pied le Brooklyn Bridge. Avec un temps idéal, c’était impressionnant.
